Tending to What's Yours

Hi there!

Our environment is one of constant distraction, overwhelm, dysregulation and the desire to be almost anywhere that you are not currently. What if our work is to learn to channel those feelings into what matters most and let go of the rest?

There are so many parts of my daily life (especially related to my phone, social media, societal expectations of what’s important) that I’m working on shifting right now.

What helps me the most is coming back to myself. Moving my body. Sitting in the sun, quietly. Playing with my kids. Cleaning the kitchen. Checking on a mama bird and the 5 eggs she is so carefully minding each day, moving gently so as not to disturb her. Walking the dog. Calling my mom. Remembering who I am and why I so deeply want to be here and do something meaningful in my life, in this world.

I’ve been spending intentional time tending what belongs to me.

This time in the world feels to me like an opportunity for us to get so very clear on our values. I want to be a person who lives life in alignment with my values and regularly checks back to be sure that this is still true—and if it’s not, gets clear quickly on how to get there.

I’ve been looking more at my human design type thanks to a lovely client who has a strong interest in it, and it my design just confirms what I’ve always known to be true: I can trust my gut (I'm a manifesting generator). There have been many times in my life when I didn’t know logically why I needed to do something, but I just felt in my gut that I had to. My gut and intuition have never lead me astray. I am confident in my connection to myself and my body, to the nuances in my energy and the changes in my health. Do you feel that way about your body and yourself? The work of building and maintaining that connection is ongoing and so worth the effort.

Want to join me in this? Are you feeling the call to connect deeply with yourself? I’m co-facilitating what is going to be a beautiful workshop next Friday, June 28 with Monica Leblanc here in Asheville. We are going to be offering a lovely resourcing meditation and experiential somatic work, dabbling in some art and nature therapy, and tending to our inner landscapes so we can do what we came here to do. There will also be wonderful, nourishing snacks and some amazing people in attendance. We priced it at $40 for the 3 hour workshop so it might feel accessible to as many people as possible. Burnout is real right now, and so is our world's need for your work.

Honestly, I’m just as excited about this workshop *for myself* as I am to offer it. When that happens, I know I’m on the right track. I’m trusting my gut—and I would love for you to be there with me.

Caring for yourself and learning how to deepen that relationship is going to support you in doing everything you want to do.

I hope to see you there!

Warmly,

Elizabeth
